Went here for dinner one night. Josh was our server. He was a bus boy at a breakfast spot we went to and recommended this place for dinner. He sold us when he said Margaritas and Mexican.
Josh was very welcoming and you can tell by his presence he enjoyed his job and made me and friends comfortable. I ordered 2 tacos (chicken and aged skirt steak) with a mango margarita. Everything was amazing.
Highly recommend and ask for Josh. -

Passed by this little jem as we were actually on our way to a different restaurant for dinner. It was actually 9pm already and we didn't know they were about to close. The manager(or owner) looked at the clock and told us to come in and have a seat. We didn't know it was closing time but once we were seated we noticed and appreciated the service as even though the kitchen must have been cleaning up already the food was delicious and the service was exceptional!
We were a party of 3, two of the three of us ordered tacos and the other individual ordered enchiladas. We were on vacation visiting NOLA from NYC and were in the mood for something non-fried and something a little bit more familiar... we definitely stepped into the right establishment. They seem to have a lot of healthy options as well.
All of the tacos were really well seasoned and the set up was really useful. The toppings were served in small serving bowls so you have control over how much to put in your tacos. The servings here are pretty large and we were left with food to go. The server was also really nice, she checked on us a few times to ensure we liked our food and that everything was ok. Even though it was late, they weren't pressing us to close up our meal either as most places would have...10/10 for me!
If I'm ever in New Orleans again, I'm definitely returning to this place to have one of their drinks. The area it is in seems a little sketch at night as the market is closed and there aren't many people in the area but it was fine. -

This restaurant is like sitting in Mexico. The food is so authentic it's awesome. The wait staff is extremely friendly and knows there stuff. I tried the grilled avocado and my mouth so thanked me for it, I couldn't stop salivating even after I was finished. Great place! Highly recommend it if you are ever in NOLA.

The food is delicious and the service was pretty good. Unexpected charges are never fun- so I have to deduct a star.
I was looking for somewhere to dine and walked past here. I went in for a moment, looked at the menu, was indecisive and walked out. I should have known I couldn't resist the power of a burrito. I took a walk around the block and ended up back here. A man at the front greeted me both times and was very friendly.
They start you off with free chips and salsa which was delicious. I was also happy to see they carry Mexican cokes which are the best. I ordered the burrito and was asked if I wanted either two types of salsas or cheese on top. I will never say no to cheese, so I of course asked for it along with salsa. That would come back later to bite me as a surprise charge- of $4.00! The waitress didn't tell me it was extra and it was honestly not 4 dollars worth of cheese on top. I was on a budget and would have definitely said no to an extra charge. I didn't realize the charge until I left and was 1 block away when I was like- wait a minute - why was that more than I expected? I did go back and ask what the extra charge was for, and that's when I was told it was because I asked for it "insert some word they use to indicate the cheese topping".
BUT. That burrito was so, so good. The seasoning and flavoring was on point. I could even taste the flavoring of the chicken through all the other flavors of the burrito. It's very evident that a lot of love went into making that food.
They also accept Samsung/Apple pay which saved my behind when I realized I left my credit card back in the hotel room.
The food was amazing and the staff was generally great. But the $4 cheese incident marred my experience. I still highly recommend them. -

Good chips and salsa - first serving is free, which could be a problem for tables of 2+. Dined by myself and had a negro modelo beer, which was reasonably priced. Had the tamales for my meal and enjoyed them with the spicy (mango?) salsa. The server, Tony, was very welcoming and friendly. French Quarter prices ($24 w/ tip), so a bit pricy for dining alone. Overall enjoyable and I would definitely return if dining with others!
